Breakfast

Served daily from 6:30 am in Restaurant El Viento — early enough for the longest trails.

Our artisan breakfast is one of the signatures of Los Cerros. We know this landscape as few do, and we know what it means to begin a Patagonian day with real energy: freshly baked bread, homemade regional preserves, Patagonian cheeses, seasonal fruit and eggs prepared to order, alongside a full selection of coffee and premium teas.

Service begins at 6:30 am precisely so that guests heading for Laguna de los Tres or Laguna Torre can eat properly and still be on the trail before eight. Nobody should start a 22-kilometre day on an empty stomach.

Breakfast is included in every rate, in every room category. In the Premium Room, it can also be served in the room on request.

Lunch

The kitchen stays open all day — for slow lunches after a morning walk, or a late plate after an early summit.

Not every day in El Chaltén is a full-day trek. For mornings spent on the shorter trails — or afternoons when the weather decides for you — El Viento serves a lighter midday menu in the dining room overlooking the valley.

The midday kitchen follows the same principle as everything else at Los Cerros: regional ingredients, honest cooking, and no rush whatsoever. Vegetarian options and special dietary requirements are accommodated throughout the day.

Lunch boxes

Nothing recharges a demanding day in Parque Nacional Los Glaciares like a proper lunch, packed and ready before you leave.

1 · Order

Request your lunch box when you make your reservation, or at reception up to 10:30 pm the evening before your excursion.

2 · Pick up

Your box is ready at breakfast — collect it on your way out and skip the morning queues in the village entirely.

3 · On the trail

Prepared by the same kitchen as the restaurant, with the trail in mind: substantial, packable, and worth stopping for.

Solve your whole day from the comfort of the hotel — the queues and shops in the village can wait for another afternoon.

Our bar & cellar

Bar / Cocktails / Drinks

The most complete cocktail list in El Chaltén — and the right chair to enjoy it from.

Thoughtfully stocked and quietly sophisticated: single malts, premium spirits, classic aperitifs and a curated selection of exceptional Argentine wines by the glass.

The bar is where days on the trail are properly closed — boots off, light going gold over the valley, a Negroni or a local vermouth in hand. Join us in the early evening for happy hour; ask at reception for the day's selection.

No reservation needed. The bar serves hotel guests and visitors alike, every evening of the season.

Dinner & Wines

Patagonian lamb, local trout, artisan pasta — and a cellar of more than 100 Argentine labels.

After a day outdoors, nothing is more welcoming than a table set for dinner. Restaurant El Viento brings together regional ingredients and Argentine culinary tradition in a menu centred on Patagonian lamb, local trout, artisan pasta and seasonal produce — consistently rated among the very best tables in El Chaltén by our guests.

The kitchen is led by our chef, Agustín Vásquez, whose menu changes with the seasons and with what the region offers. Vegetarian and special dietary requirements are always accommodated.

The cellar holds more than 100 carefully selected labels — the best expressions of Argentina's varied terroirs, from Patagonian Pinot Noir to high-altitude Malbec from Mendoza and Salta.
